When tuning a guitar, strings can break. It's the nature of the tuning process because strings can be old or defective or have an old kink in them. Any of these issues might cause a more sensitive string to snap but we do extensive testing and employ a lot of software magic to ensure we do not break strings because of over applied tension or a incorrectly detected note. We are constantly updating our software to catch edge cases and avoid them and will continue to do so with the help and feedback of our awesome users.
