Roadie 3 is showing the "wrong string" alert often, what should I do?

The "Wrong string" alert algorithm is designed as a preventive measure in case you do place the Roadie on the incorrect peg. This will help to save you from snapping a string. Sometimes the algorithm might trigger falsely if the strings are still new and there is higher friction at the nut (what is commonly known as nut ping, as you can hear an actual ping sound when tuning).

Here are some tips we wrote on how to eliminate nut ping: https://www.roadiemusic.com/blog/how-to-resolve-nut-ping/

Let us know if this helps, if it doesn't and you are still getting the wrong string alert message please make sure to update your Roadie to the latest firmware. Otherwise please reach out to us!
