How do I calibrate my Roadie 3?

Modified on Tue, 14 Sep, 2021 at 1:30 PM

In the rare event that your Roadie 3 does not perform well with your instrument, especially custom instruments, a calibration will help.

To perform a calibration, all you have to do is:
  • Turn on your Roadie 3
  • Select your instrument profile
  • Press the right navigation button to enter the tuning settings
  • Navigate down and then select "Calibrate Instrument" by pressing the right button once more
  • Hold down the right button to confirm

The Roadie will jump back to the tuning screen but you will notice a new status on the screen "Calibrating". Once switched on, just tune every string as you would normally do. Each one will undergo a calibration process during which Roadie will tighten and loosen the string.

Calibration is important because each instrument profile on Roadie 3 saves the calibration characteristics of that particular instrument. This is particularly useful if you have different string gauges or tuning gears on different instruments.

Note: this process takes a bit of time. Calibration is turned off automatically whenever you exit the instrument profile or if you switch your Roadie off.
